The surgery begins with a small incision under the lower eyelid lash line, which extends about 1 to 1.5 cm beyond the outer corner of the eye. In the process, the skin around the lower eyelid is loosened and tightened gently; excess skin is eliminated. If necessary, excess fatty tissue is removed before the suture is closed. Tightening the lower lid ligament may also be included, if required. This procedure aims to create a harmonious transition from the eyelid to the surrounding facial area, for a beautiful and youthful appearance.<\/p>

After the surgery, constant cooling of the eye area has proved beneficial: the contraction of blood vessels reduces the risk of secondary bleeding and swelling. It is also essential to avoid rubbing your eyes after a lower eyelid lift.<\/p>

Minor hematoma and swelling are normal and will disappear after a few days or weeks. The sutures will be removed after five to seven days. You should avoid physical exercise for up to six weeks.<\/p>
