Buttock Augmentation / Brazilian Butt Lift
The bottom takes center stage
Since Kate Middleton’s wedding to Prince William and the excited media coverage of her sister’s well-formed bottom, nicely accentuated by her bridesmaid dress, the female buttocks have become the focus of interest in Europe. However, a well-shaped, rounded bottom is not only a beauty feature for women. For men, too, a tight butt is a not to be underestimated factor in their attractiveness.
Dr. med. Dr. med. Christina Irene Günter will be happy to advise you individually and in detail about the various options for buttock enhancement in your particular case to improve the contour and shape of your buttocks.
Nature has endowed us with different basic buttock shapes (described as apple, pear, or peach). Similarly, differences in size are determined genetically. And finally, our views on the aesthetically optimal size and shape of male or female buttocks are influenced by cultural differences.
If our bottom does not correspond to the desired ideal, modern, sensitive treatments are able to compensate.
Buttock augmentation or buttock shaping with autologous fat is among the most frequently requested surgical treatments. In addition, Dr. med. Dr. med. Christina Irene Günter can also offer you buttock tightening or reduction, if required.
If a more voluminous butt is desired, the treatment of choice would be buttock augmentation with autologous fat transfer. Even after weight loss, when the buttocks have lost volume and are sagging, autologous fat transfer may help to restore the desired curves. A significant increase in volume can be achieved by a repeated operation. These will be performed at intervals of at least six months until the required size has been reached.
The details will be clarified in a personal consultation with Dr. med. Dr. med. Christina Irene Günter and decided upon together.
In the case of a pronounced excess of skin, a buttock lift is usually necessary. This procedure is particularly recommended if only the firm, round shape is to be restored. If the buttocks need to be reduced in size and the skin is still elastic enough, liposuction is another possible alternative.
It goes without saying that your health is always given priority. Surgery that negatively affects your health or physical integrity is not recommended and should not be performed in the first place. Detailed consultations are, therefore, mandatory before to any surgical procedure. It is essential to talk about the motivation for this kind of surgery, to discuss whether the desired result can be achieved, and to speak about possible limitations. Other important topics are alternative treatments, as well as potential adverse side effects and possible risks.
As with any surgical procedure, buttock augmentation may lead to bruising (hematoma), secondary bleeding, swelling, wound healing disorders, infections, and wound dehiscence. Temporary numbness of the treated area may also occur.
If you decide on a surgical procedure, it is essential that you are cared for professionally and personally during the entire process.
