In 2018, Dr. Dr. Christian Günter has started her private practice for plastic and aesthetic surgery in Munich, Germany.

Simultaneously, she acts as chief physician in a prestigious private clinic for aesthetic surgery in Kuwait and has been working at the Pyramid Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, since 2007.

From 2007 to 2023, Dr. Dr Christina Irene Günter worked at the Pyramide Clinic in Zurich.

She gained her extensive professional experience in the aesthetic and reconstructive surgical sector at the Pyramid Clinic, Zurich, Switzerland, the Nuremberg Clinic for aesthetic-plastic surgery in Nuremberg, Germany, and the proaesthetic Clinic in Heidelberg, Germany.

In 2014, she completed her specialist training as a plastic and aesthetic surgeon in Munich.

During her professional specialization, she worked at the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland, at the General Hospital (AKH) Vienna, Austria, and the Technical University Munich (Klinikum rechts der Isar), Germany.

Before, she worked in cardiac surgery in Switzerland (University Hospital Zurich), in the USA (Stanford University), and South Africa (Stellenbosh University). 

After finishing her medical studies that led her to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the USA, and South Africa, Dr. med. Dr. med. Univ. Christina Irene Günter received her first doctorate as “Doctor of General Medicine” in Austria, followed by a second doctorate as „Doctor of Medicine at the Technical University Munich as part of her habilitation process. 

From the start, Dr. med. Dr. med. Christina Irene Günter has been involved in research, including various sojourns in the USA, Switzerland, and Austria. Since 2009, she is head of the Clinical Studies Department at the Clinic for Plastic and Hand Surgery at the Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich.

One of her passions is the imparting of knowledge and medical qualifications. This is why Dr. Dr. Günter is active as a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technical University in Munich. Besides, she is a long-time lecturer and workshop leader for Galderma, a Swiss pharmaceutical company specializing in dermatological treatments and skincare products, and focusing on hyaluronic acid and Botox.

Dr. med. Dr. med. univ. Christina Irene Günter is supporting various companies in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. She is particularly valued for her expertise in the field of pre-market approval and other clinical studies.

She is also a much-appreciated speaker at international congresses, a renowned author of numerous scientific publications, and many contributions for medical textbooks.
