In 2018, Dr. Dr. Christian Günter has started her private practice for plastic and aesthetic surgery in Munich, Germany.
Simultaneously, she acts as chief physician in a prestigious private clinic for aesthetic surgery in Kuwait and has been working at the Pyramid Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, since 2007.

In 2014, she completed her specialist training as a plastic and aesthetic surgeon in Munich.
During her professional specialization, she worked at the Pyramid Clinic, Zurich, Switzerland, at the General Hospital (AKH) Vienna, Austria, and the Technical University Munich (Klinikum rechts der Isar), Germany.
Before, she worked in cardiac surgery in Switzerland (University Hospital Zurich), in the USA (Stanford University), and South Africa (Stellenbosh University).
After finishing her medical studies that led her to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the USA, and South Africa, Dr. med. Dr. med. Univ. Christina Irene Günter received her first doctorate as “Doctor of General Medicine” in Austria, followed by a second doctorate as „Doctor of Medicine at the Technical University Munich as part of her habilitation process.
From the start, Dr. med. Dr. med. Christina Irene Günter has been involved in research, including various sojourns in the USA, Switzerland, and Austria. Since 2009, she is head of the Clinical Studies Department at the Clinic for Plastic and Hand Surgery at the Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich.
One of her passions is the imparting of knowledge and medical qualifications. This is why Dr. Dr. Günter is active as a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technical University in Munich. Besides, she is a long-time lecturer and workshop leader for Galderma, a Swiss pharmaceutical company specializing in dermatological treatments and skincare products, and focusing on hyaluronic acid and Botox.

Our faces are our „business cards“. It is only natural that we want to look our best as long as possible and as often as possible.
Increasing age causes natural changes to our face and skin. These include volumetric losses in the deeper tissue layers, fat and connective tissue, and bone degradation. The facial connective tissue slackens: the now excessive skin sinks in, thus altering our facial contours.
Add to that the skin’s fading elasticity and yet another peculiar trait: our skin seems to become too large since it keeps growing as long as we live.
Expression lines are caused by the contraction of the mimetic muscles in the face. Repeated contraction at the same location causes the connective tissue fibers in the skin to collapse, as it were.
Moreover, the skin’s regenerative capacity decreases with increasing age while cell division in the skin and the production of crucial connective tissue structures slow down. Our skin becomes thinner, less elastic, youthful attractiveness disappears, and tiny creases form.
